Shortly before the local elections, the system parties continue to become the target of the revolutionaries and communists. The election Office of the MHP located at Yesilpinar in Alibeykoy, Istanbul, was destroyed with Molotov cocktails by the KGO in the evening of February 24. In a statement made it was said that the action had been realised "against the fascist attacks and threats on the high school students and revolutionaries"
On February 26, MHP activists campaigning for the elections in Alibeykoy were hindered and had to leave the borough. On the same day, an election car of the AKP driving around in the borough was completely destroyed, too.
