On March 18, at the Ahmet Vefik Pasa Neighbourhood in the district Kestel, Bursa, the policeman Ismail Ozmek was killed at an armed conflict that started when the policemen stopped a car to make a search during a control on the road. Ender Bulhaz Akturk, who is accused of having killed the policeman, was arrested, while a woman was able to get away from that place without being arrested, according to the police report. {divide}
Ender Bulhaz Akturk, who was exposed to the torture of revenge of the police and who did not make any declaration in front of the police under custody, not even told his name, was taken to the court on March 20. On the way to the court that was surrounded by a fascist and racist crowd of one thousand people who had gathered for a lynching attack on him, Akturk cried out the slogans "Long live our party MLCP!" and "Long live revolution, long live socialism!". The count decided over the imprisonment of Akturk with the pretexts of "militancy in MLCP" and "having killed a policeman on duty". Akturk had to wait there for 10 hours due to the lynching attempt of the crowd provoked by the police. Akturk also refused to receive a medical intervention because of the obligation of handcuffs.
Akturk's lawyers denounced that Akturk was exposed to all well-known types of torture, except for electric shock, among them strappado, bastinado, pressurized water, ice-torture. They informed that as a result of this torture that lasted two days, Akturk's rips have been broken, he has many wounds and ecchymose on his body, he is not able to stand upright, he has respiration difficulties, he is ill due to the ice-torture and he suffers from hands and feet tumefaction.
Akturk's lawyer also denounced that the Police Office in the district Kestel, the Anti-terror Department of the Provincial Police of Bursa and the Anti-terror Department of the Istanbul Police did not accept for two days that Akturk was there, despite that the Governor of Bursa had already announced on the first day that Akturk was arrested in relation with the event in Kestel. The lawyer expressed that she had commented this as a sign of a possible mistreatment of her client, but even she had not thought that he would be exposed to such systematic torture.
Meanwhile, the militia of our party MLCP put a bomb in front of the elections office of the AKP in Alibeykoy. The bomb was inactivated by the police. The militants of our party announced that they had carried out this act for Ender Bulhaz Akturk who was heavily tortured by the police in Bursa and for Engin Cber who had been killed under torture in Metris Prison. In their statement, the also expressed the following: "This time they were lucky, but they will pay an account for every singly crime that they commit. The steel fist of our party MLCP will always be on their necks"
