In order to hinder the Mayday celebrations and threaten the masses, the police had arrested some ESP activists yet before Mayday in many cities and finally raided the ESP office in Istanbul. The police surrounded the whole area around Taxim and raided the ESP office located at Taxim asking those at the office for their ID.
