On May 19, families of the disappeared, socialists and progressive democratic forces went to Gazi, Istanbul, during the International Weeks of Struggle against Forced Disappearance. The mass marching from Gazi Cemevi until Gazi Cemetery commemorated Hasan Ocak and Ridvan Karakoc at their graves. Besides organisations and platforms such as the ESP , EHP , SDP and IHD , many families of disappeared followed the call of ICAD and YAKAY-DER and joined the action. The mass continuously shouted the slogans "The rage of the mothers will strangle the murderers" and "Hasan Ocak is alive, a thousand greetings to our commander" and carried the pictures of the disappeared. While ICAD participated in the march with a banner read "Those who let disappear must be convicted", at the very front the mass carried a banner saying "Let us demand an account from the murderer of the disappeared which is the counter guerrilla state" and a picture of Hasan Ocak. {divide}
After a short sit-in in front of the police station in Gazi, the mass went first to the grave of Ridvan Karakoc and then to Hasan Ocak. In the statement held in the name of ICAD, it was stressed that the counter guerrilla is responsible for the disappeared and demanded the excavation of mass graves. It was said: "There won't remain even one disappeared for whom we won't have demanded an account and found the grave". The families emphasized that forced disappearance is a state policy and promised to lead the struggle until the end."
Our party and KGO 's militia were present at the action, too. The militia wrote slogans on walls and houses during the march and carried our party flags at the grave of Hasan Ocak. They also took an oath on the revolution.
