In order to commemorate Gazi uprise's leader and our comrade Hasan Ocak as well as Ibrahim Kaypakkaya, leader of the '71 movement, Marxist Leninist Communist Party militia realised actions in different boroughs of Istanbul writing slogans on walls and hanging up banners. Our militia wrote slogans on walls on Cengiz Topal Street in Alibeykoy on May 16 and said in its statement published later: "At the barricades and during the struggle, let us be like Hasan Ocak". Our party's militia hanged up a banner read "Commander Hasan Ocak is immortal" at the School Station in Gulsuyu quarter, Maltepe, and blocked the traffic for 10 minutes. The militia shouted the slogans "At the barricades and during the struggle, let us be like Hasan Ocak" and "Long live our party MLCP".
Young communists wrote slogans on houses on Saya Yokusu, Alibeykoy. The KGO activists made a statement finishing with the slogans "Hasan Ocak is alive, the MLCP is fighting" and "Ibrahim Kaypakkaya is immortal".
