The police repression on the KESK is being protested through street actions in Ankara, Izmir, İstanbul, Amed, Mersin, Bursa, Nigde, Hatay, Adana, Manisa and many other cities. {divide}
In Ankara, the Central Office of the KESK organised an action at Yuksel Street. The General Secretary of the KESK Emirali Simsek, the General President of Egitim-Sen Zubeyde Kilic, the General President of SES Bedriye Yorgun and MP from the ODP Ufuk Uras were among the participants of the action. The public employees opened here a banner written "Repression, detention and imprisonment cannot intimidate us" and they shouted the slogans "We will break the hand that touch the KESK", "Shoulder on shoulder against fascism" and "Stop the state's terror!" They demanded that the repression on the KESK should stop and the arrested ones should be set free. The action ended after a five-minute sit-in action.
In Amed, the Platform of the Diyarbakir Branches of the KESK met in front of AZC Plaza and protested the attack. In Izmir, the Branches of the KESK cried out the slogan "Repression cannot intimidate us!" at the action at Konak Square. In Istanbul, a massive sit-in action was organised near Taksim Square. Protest actions are spreading all over the country.
Trade unions and chambers have also reacted against the raids and arrest against the KESK. The DISK , TMMOB and TTB issued a united statement while Limter-Is , Tekstil-Sen and Petrol-Is condemned the attack through their statements.
