Let us join the 6th hearing of the trial against the 10th September prisoners on 26th June 2009! 06 June 2009 / International Bureau/ Statement No: 45 The next hearing of the trial started after the colonial fascist dictatorship's detention attack on our party, socialist organisations and individuals during 8th - 12th September 2006 will take place on 26th June 2009. The armed forces of the fascist dictatorship had carried out operations in many cities on 8th-12th September, many unions, democratic mass organisations, radio stations and cultural art centres as well as socialist organisations had been raided. As a result of these raids, a large number of communists, among them Ibrahim Cicek, the chief editor of the Atilim newspaper, the Socialist Alternative of the Oppressed, Sedat Senoglu, the chief coordinator of Atilim newspaper, the columnists Ziya Ulusoy, Bayram Namaz and Fusun Erdogan, chief coordinator of the radio station Ozgur Radio, had been arrested and 23 out of them imprisoned. After having been behind bars for 14 months, the 10th September prisoners had been taken to court in October 2007 for the first time. The indictment prepared by the public prosecutors and the police, who had been trying to create fake proofs for one year to convict the communists, demands to sentence the communists to 3 years of prison. The communists were taken 5 times to court during the last 3 years. At every hearing they convicted fascism themselves and defended the revolution and socialism. They exposed the fake proofs and accusations the police made up. While until now 6 people have been released temporarily, the trial is continuing and 17 communists have still been behind bars. This struggle existing in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan is a struggle for the revolution and socialism led by our party MLCP on the one hand against the fascist dictatorship on the other hand. It is the struggle for power between the working class that is guided by the will of 10th September and the bourgeoisie. This struggle is a struggle by which it is aimed to prevent the Turkish and Kurdish nations and national minorities to meet with the idea and ideals of the revolution and socialism. It is a struggle to prevent the peoples to live the brotherhood and to make them overcome the national borders. With this struggle, the bourgeoisie aims at oppressing the struggle for a world without classes and exploitation. The bourgeoisie also aims at letting the workers and labourers pay for the economic crisis the imperialist capitalist system has lived, and wants to hinder the working class from organising itself against the crisis and revolt. In vain! Our party is continuing with its march under fire, and increasing its will for struggling and determination. Our party will continue to enlighten the working class and the labourers on the fact of socialism being the solution against the crisis of capitalism. Neither the anti-terror laws and its regulations; nor fascist oppression, bans, torture and detentions will stop our party's march. The trial of the 10th September prisoners has been continued for almost 3 years violating fascism's own as well as international laws, and has now achieved a certain level. The communists, socialists and revolutionaries will show mass participation in the trial on 26th June. They will expose the arbitrary practice of the fascist dictatorship inside and outside the court and show that they don't let the communists alone. Our party calls on all communist, revolutionary and progressive forces to publish solidarity messages with the 10th September prisoners and to realise actions protesting the fascist dictatorship. Our party calls on all communist, revolutionary and progressive forces to send delegations to watch the hearing on 26th June at Besiktas Heavy Penalty Court, Istanbul and to show international solidarity.
