Kutsiye Bozoklar was a militant revolutionary raised by the '68 generation. She joined the organised struggle in the 70ies when Deniz Gezmis and his comrades founded the THKO , Mahir Cayan and his comrades the THKP-C and Ibrahim Kaypakkaya and his comrades the TKP/ML-TIKKO and by that, realised a huge break and progress within the revolutionary struggle in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan. Comrade Kutsiye continued with the organised struggle until the day she lost her life.

The fascist military coup of March 12, 1970 that was developed against this revolutionary progress killed many revolutionary leaders and militants. In the last stage of the Operation Sledgehammer of the putschist generals, the house Kutsiye Bozoklar and Ahmet Muharrem Cicek went to in Sehremini, Istanbul, was raided by the police on March 19, 1973. Both revolutionaries, Kutsiye Bozoklar and Ahmet Muharrem Cicek, started an armed resistance against the siege of the police and were heavily injured. Comrade Ahmet Muharrem was shot in his head and therefore executed when he was still alive and heavily injured. Isik Kutlu continued with her life although she had been tortured when being injured, although she had been imprisoned for 2 years and shot in her back and got to learn that she would never be able to walk. By saying "To live means to resist", she continued to live and resist. When she was released in 1974 due to a general amnesty, she taught young revolutionaries. With her poems and articles, she contributed a lot to the revolutionary struggle. With her articles she managed to win dozens of young people to join the ranks of the revolution and socialism. In the years of defeat after the military fascist coup of September 12, 1980, she conveyed hope to the revolutionaries in prison.
With her articles for Atilim newspaper and the magazine Sanat ve Hayat, Kutsiye Bozoklar contributed to the revolutionary art and literature by giving examples on revolutionary life, and guided revolutionaries of all ages with her articles on the new human being. Apart from her books titled "Concerning Life", "Words written for Hope", "Art and Struggle", "Does Turkey like this taste?", "Taking life in your hands" and "Imperialist globalisation and Lies", that mostly consist of articles she had written for the newspaper and other magazines, a poetry book titled "It is the struggle that is my part" was published, too.

Comrade Kutsiye dedicated her 56 years of life, of whom she passed 36 years sitting in a wheelchair, to the revolution and socialism. Despite her severe illness, the periods of defeat of the revolutionary struggle and all difficulties she went through, comrade Kutsiye never gave up and resisted, and with her belief and hope she always conveyed brightness to the revolutionary struggle. As a communist intellectual and militant coming from the revolutionary generation of the 70ies, comrade Kutsiye will take her bright and immortal place next to Deniz Gezmis, Mahir Cayan, Ibrahim Kaypakkaya and other brave revolutionaries. We bow our heads in memory of comrade Kutsiye Bozoklar.
