In this period, in which the Turkish state is saying that "good things" will happen concerning the Kurdish question, it killed to members of the DTP. The massacre, which was committed by the contra-gangs of the state in Sirnak, happened in these days of intensified discussions on solution.{divide} It turned out that the DTP members Ferhat Erdis and Necman Olmez, whose dead bodies have been found near the village Basagac of the county Beytussebap in Sirnak, had been tortured before being assassinated. Their bodies were wounded by knifes at many places and they were killed by one bullet shot at each of them and by crushing their craniums. It is known, that before the two DTP activists were killed an unknown person called them by phone and asked them to come to the animal market. The fact that the village guards, who are permanently on guard just 400 metres away from the place, at which Erdis and Olmez have been killed, did not see nothing increases the probability that the massacre was committed by the state. Moreover, in 2005 a minibus had been raked by gunfire at the same village. 14 persons, 5 out of them village guards, had been killed in this incident, which the state tried to pin to the PKK , however later it turned out, that this massacre was also committed by the contra-gangs of the state.
