With an action, the Solidarity League of the Prisoners' Families (TUYAB) commemorated the 10 revolutionaries who had been killed at Ulucanlar Prison on September 26, 1999. {divide}
The action started with a minute of silence. In the speeches following, it was stressed that the massacres in the prisons are a state policy and that Ulucanlar massacre was a test for the massacre of December 19 , 2000 . The families of the prisoners also made speeches telling about the struggle outside of the prisons at that time and especially about the mothers' struggle. Ex-prisoners of Ulucanlar who had experienced the massacre said that the soldiers had attacked the prisoners as if being in a war and how they had brutally killed. The families of the prisoners will realise commemorations at the graves of the prisoners killed in Ulucanlar and organise different actions, too.
