The Social Forum of Mesopotamia (MSF), which takes place from September 25-30 in Diyarbakir, Kurdistan, started with a demonstration.{divide}
The MSF, in which 250 organisations participate, started with a demonstration in which almost 10 thousand people participated. During the march, where a banner was carried saying in Kurdish, Turkish and English "Another Mesopotamia is possible", also the militants of our party MLCP were present shouting slogans like "Disa disa serhıldan MLKP Kürdistan", "Long live our 4th Congress", Women, to the party, to the MLCP" and "Star of the party, Communist Youth Organisation". The Kurdish patriots opened a banner saying "No to the initiative of operations and imprisonment" at the demonstration. After having reached the venue of the Forum, the program continued with speeches and music.
Furthermore, seminars like "Assembly of the Peoples, Disperse and Solidarity" and "Struggles of the peoples in Latin America" took place during the MSF. In the context of the Forum also the Meeting of the Women of the Middle East in preparation of the World Women Conference 2011 in Venezuela will take place. The Forum will continue with various seminars and activities until September 30.
