The public prosecutor's office of the republic of Bursa stated in their decision taken in the last days, that there is no need to bring an action against the policemen who tortured Ender Bulhaz Akturk because the torture applied did not cause his death.{divide}
The communist Ender Bulhaz Akturk, who had been arrested in Bursa on March 18 accused to have killed a policeman and is accused to have a relation with our party MLCP has been exposed to heavy torture under police detention. Two days it was not admitted officially that Ender Bulhaz Akturk is in detention and when he was taken to the court it turned out that he had been tortured. Moreover, the medico-legal institution and two hospitals where Akturk was treated documented the torture he suffered in their reports. Akturk told that he was exposed to the following types of torture: pressurized water, strappado, ice-torture, brutally punching and waterboarding - known also as Guantanamo torture. After the heavy torture he was exposed to under police detention he was brought to the court where he was exposed to a lynching attack on him and was kept approximately 10 hours inside the court building.
