TEKEL workers have continued with their resistance in Ankara for some days and wanted the confederation Turk-Is to take decision on a general strike. While the presidents of the unions affiliated to Turk-Is gathered to take a decision, the workers were waiting in front of the building. After the meeting, the Turk-Is general president Mustafa Kumlu said in a statement that they had decided to organise a rally some time later. TEKEL workers who expected a general strike to be announced protested against this decision. TEKEL workers declared that they will start a death fast if no solution is founded until January 9.
