13 socialists who were arrested and imprisoned on September 8, 2009 for having participated at the funeral of the communist intellectual Kutsiye Bozoklar have been set free. 13 socialists were taken to the court on January 29. They entered the building shouting the slogan "Kutsiye Bozoklar is immortal" and in their defence speeches, they emphasised the revolutionary intellectual personality of Kutsiye Bozoklar. They condemned the arbitrary way of the trial expressing that 1500 people had participated at the funeral of comrade Kutsiye who lost her life on June 16, 2009. The court decided the release of the 13 socialists and the continuation of the trials.
