As the May 17-31, International Week of Struggle Against Forced Disappearances has started, ICAD , YAKAYDER and IHD has announced their calender of actions.
The struggle against forced disappearance in our region had started after the kidnapping and disappearance of our comrade Hasan Ocak on March 21, 1995.
The first action will be a press statement in front of the Court of Istanbul on May 17. on May 19, conmemorations will be carried out in front of the grave of comrade Hasan and of Ridvan Karakoc, whose body was also found in same process, both of the gaves being located in the Gazi Cemetery. On May 25, there will be an action under the slogan "We are looking for our disappeared ones" at the Cemetary of Unknown People in Altinsehir, where the tortured dead body of comrade Hasan was found. On May 31, there will be a march towards Beyoglu Tunel departing from the meeting point in front of the office of IHD.
