Serzan Kurt was heaviliy wounded by the police opening fire at the Kurdish students that were already attacked by civil fascists supported by the police on May 12 in Mugla. The 21-year-old Serzan Kurt has lost his life on May 19 at the Dokuz Eylul University Hospital where he was under intensive care for 8 days.{divide}
The father of Kurt expressed that his son was killed only for being a Kurd. Serzan will be buried in Batman after the autopsy.
The youth organisations took to the streets against the murders by the police. The Youth Platform for the Brotherhood of the Peoples organised action on May 21 in Ankara and Istanbul and condemned the state for its responsiblity for the death of Serzan Kurt and of the workers who died in the mine explosure in Zonguldak. DGH, DPG, ODAK, OEP, SDH, YDG and Students' Collectives organised another action in Ankara to condemn the fascist attack in Mugla.
