Those who reject to elect the better one among the bad and to legitimate the constitution founded the Boycott Front. They decided to defend the demands of the workers and labourers and to struggle for a change for the people, because any change realized by the capital won't be in the interest of the workers and the labourers. The Boycott Front is an opportunity for the working class and all oppressed to raise their essential demands and their longings for freedom.

The AKP 's package of changes that has been on the agenda of Turkey for a long time and that created an atmosphere of general elections will be voted on through a referendum on September 12, 2010, the 30th anniversary of the military coup in Turkey.
The ruling party AKP that wants to make some changes on the constitution created on September 12, 1980, has the goal to become dominant over the HSYK, the High Council of Judges and Prosecutors, after having an influence on the Council of Higher Education ( YOK ) and the Presidency. With the changes proposed in the package it aims at widening its sphere of hegemony and to extend the existence of the military constitution of September 12, 1982. The package of changes that is propagated by the AKP touring in every city doesn't contain any changes on the abolition of the election hurdle that is among the important elements of democratization, nor any changes that accept the existence of Kurds concerning the Kurdish question or any changes on the social and political rights and freedoms for workers and labourers. The AKP government that doesn't undertake fundamentally any changes on this constitution and doesn't render an account with the military coup, its only aim is to have new changes for its personal hegemony profits and tries to sell these as a constitution being "more free and democratic". With this package on changes the AKP wants to get the judiciary under its control as it did already before with the Council of Higher Education and the Presidency; by that it wants to blockade any judicial ways for being touched in any way. From the point of view of the workers and labourers, this package doesn't offer any changes. However, the fascist institution's components change, and this shows the change of hegemony of the bourgeoisie's two fronts. The people are forced to vote either yes or no on this package. So, both options mean to legitimate the constitution of the military coup and extend its existence. Those voting "no" have a nationalist identity and are at the same time against the solution of the Kurdish question and weakening of the military hegemony. The ODP , EMEP and TKP that join the "no voters" from the labourer, left-wing ranks can't realize that "no" means legitimating the current constitution of September 12 and the current regime that makes its still exist. They also don't see that no means to be on the side of nationalist and fascist parties such as the CHP and MHP . The fact that they don't see the demands, wishes and longings of the workers, labourers, women and youth is a common point of those voting "yes" and "no". They both can't offer a system that fulfils the people's demands. It is a front to struggle to convict the crimes against humanity by those realizing the military coup of September 12 as well as the members of the junta, such as Kenan Evren. This constitution offered to the workers and labourers by a system that doesn't respect the existence of the Kurds and continues its denial and annihilation politics with dirty war methods could never be in favour of the working class and labourers' interests. In order to abolish fascist institutions such as the National Security Council, the High Board for Radio and TV and the Council of Higher Education, to stop the warn carried out against the Kurdish people and to abolish state terror laws such as the anti-terror law, the socialists fighting for the freedom of the oppressed have called the workers and labourers in many cities not to vote and support the socialists by going on the street on September 12.
The organizations and parties gathering as the Boycott Front call on everyone to go on the street and join the actions in order to demand an account from the putschists and their successors on September 12, 2010 and to commemorate the progressive forces, Kurdish patriots, revolutionaries and communists who had been tortured and were killed.
