The "boycott front" was the one coming out as the political, psychological, tactical and strategic winner of the referendum.

The Kurdish question that has existed since the foundation of the republic as well as the question of the Kemalist ideology of the status quo, that has created the Kurdish question, is still on the agenda in all their severity. The military fascist constitution of September 12, also a product of the Kemalist regime of status quo, is still a current problem, too. The referendum on a change of the constitution that took place recently and turned into an atmosphere of general elections was also a result of this ball of problems that arose. The problems created by the bourgeois system of Turkey around the Kemalist ideology brought it to a situation in which it cannot continue as before. The Kurdish question comes on top of them. The referendum's result is enough to understand this situation clearly. First of all, the country was divided into three: in the west with "no", the central and inner regions with "yes", in Kurdistan with "boycott". Those voting "no" in the referendum, as the defenders of the status quo, experienced a serious defeat after the referendum when the constitution was voted to be changed. Some of those defending the status quo have even become politically ineffective. Although the constitution was voted to be changed, the AKP that came out as the winner of the ‘yes', ‘no' clique fight can't continue as before especially on the basis of the Kurdish question. The "yes" coming out of the ballots once again clearly showed that the peoples of Turkey don't want the fascist regime of September 12 and that they want to demand an account from it, even if only on an evolutional, reformist level. With this change on the constitution the AKP has extended the existence of the constitution of September 12 on the one hand, on the other hand it clearly showed that its liquidating plans on the regime in general didn't work out by calling for a new "civil" constitution immediately after the referendum in terms of the Kurdish question in particular and in general the freedoms.
The liquidating "Kurdish initiative" failed
The "boycott front" was the one coming out as the political, psychological, tactical and strategic winner of the referendum. In contrary to the clique fight of "yes" and "no" in Turkey, there was the victory of boycott in Kurdistan. 12 million voters didn't go to the ballot. By the liquidating project "Kurdish initiative" that started long time before the referendum the regime wanted to deepen liquidation and bring it to conclusion under the leadership of the AKP. However, the plans on the Kurdish people once more didn't work out. The Kurdish people led by those they elected took the decision of boycotting and thus standing outside the inner fights of the regime and declared that they "will resist to the denial and annihilation", "they won't be satisfied with crumbs", "their freedoms couldn't be bought" and "they will defend the national rights on the basis of democratic autonomy" against the liquidation. With this position, they have shown once more that they won't be oppressed by the status quo. During the liquidating period that started with the "Kurdish initiative" and took until the referendum, operations were carried out against Kurdish representatives and politicians first titled against the KCK by disregarding the ceasefire of the PKK . After that, the operations in Kurdistan were speeded up. In parliament, Kurdish politicians were continually attacked by Prime Minister Erdogan. During the referendum period, Erdogan even made the politics of "boycott" a target. Short time before the referendum, there was an attempt of collaboration with the bourgeois Kurds in order to buy the Kurdish people's demand for liberation. Nevertheless, as an answer to this whole liquidating period the Kurdish people defended its elected representatives in prison by all means, responded to their offensive with all their power, said boycott from 7 to 70, from schools to fields, it said "peace now more than ever" at every opportunity, the guerrilla stopped the ceasefire during the referendum period as an answer to the crumbs and liquidating politics.
Boycott victory in Kurdistan
Despite all these points the Kurdish people is still waving the flag of "peace" in its hands. After the boycott victory in Kurdistan, the AKP immediately started on September 13 to discuss the new constitution since the Kurdish people first of all and all oppressed and the working class said "freedom". And this showed that it cannot go on as it used to. The PKK again declared ceasefire to give peace a chance and to make it possible that the Kurdish people's hand remaining in the air may be taken up. It gave to the whole world the message that "this time this opportunity needs to be used". It was said that again and again it is Ocalan to be considered as the representative" and messages were given to develop the dialogue with Imrali. The regime this time had to say through President Abdullah Gul that "we will meet if it's useful". On the other hand the most authorised people one after another had to admit to have met with Ocalan. The message is quite clear at the moment: first of all the Kurdish people and all other peoples of Turkey, the oppressed and the working class don't want the constitution of September 12 and the regime that is the product of September 12. They insist on the struggles that have been carried out since the coup in 1980 for freedoms and want a result. The Kurdish people are not in favour of liquidation but of the labourers and the brotherhood of the people, away from individualism expecting a solution based on equality, liberation and able to demand an account. And it is insisting on this political stance. The bourgeois status quo with Islam flavour that the AKP wants to establish instead of the Kemalist status quo will not be a solution but rather the end of the AKP. Although the AKP currently got stronger out of the referendum, it has the Kurdish people in front of it that got out of the referendum strong, too, and are determined to struggle, as well as the oppressed people and the working class. With the change on the constitution the AKP got a relief, however it won't get away to pay the bill for extending the existence of the constitution of September 12. Soon in the upcoming period, the face of the AKP, which presents itself as being Muslim and democratic will be exposed. And this will happen first of all due to its own action.
Let us carry the boycott front to the future
The boycott front of the labourers and oppressed also gave a message to its members. In the last years, the front of the oppressed has experiences some examples of successful temporally alliances. One example was the last elections. However for some reason these temporally tactical alliances did not turn into long-lasting, permanent alliances and did not turn, also in terms of content, into strategic ones. The success is obvious. And everybody should see that it is a common success and consider the others also as partner of it. Now it is time to defend this success and the efforts made. The message given to the labourers and oppressed that "the 3rd front is possible" has to find a permanent form now, has to gain a shape in common politics. The progressive, revolutionary and communists forces of Turkey owe the peoples of Turkey and Kurdistan a strong, firm, 3rd front focussed on achieving results.
