The Platform of Diyarbakir Branches of KESK announced on August 24 that they will join the human shields starting from Diyarbakir on August 27. The representatives of the provincial platform Seyfettin Polat told that the workers and labourers pay the cost of the on-going war heavily by the limitation of their economic and democratic rights. The Platform of Istanbul Branches of KESK made a sit-in in the evening on August 26. They opened a banner read "Enough is enough! Immediate peace!" They exposed the war policies of the AKP government and called upon the society to take an action.
