While the AKP government pretend to be the peace bringer of the Middle East with its hypocritical policies about Syria and Palestine, it commits civilian massacres in Southern Kurdistan with Israeli-US-European arms and war technology.
On August 21, the 5th day of the air bombings of the Turkish colonialist state in Southern Kurdistan (Iraqi Kurdistan), the Turkish air forces bombed 2 civil vehicles and killed a whole family consisting of 7 members, one pregnant. {divide}
During the air attacks of the colonialist Turkish bourgeois state on Mount Qandil, two civil vehicles carrying a family trying to escape from the war field were bombed on the road from Kortek to Ranya. The vehicles were totally destroyed, while a family was terminated. Hasan Mustafa Hasan (father), Mer Haci Mam (mother, pregnant), the eldest daughter Rezan Huseyin Mustafa, daughters and sons Zana Huseyin Mustafa (11), Oskar Huseyin Hasan (10), Sonya Semal Hasan (4) and Solin Semal Hasan (6-month-old baby) were killed. Thousands of Kurds participated in the funeral in Gole village.
Furthermore, many villages in the region were harmed by the bombings. In Sidekan/Amediya, 7 villages were completely evacuated by the villagers escaping from the bombings. The gardens and farms were burnt down. 3 villages were directly bombed. Fires broke out in wide forest areas.
In face of the strong reactions against the massacre of 7 civilians, the Turkish Armed Forces and Ministry of Foreign Affairs made a statement on August 26 and denied the killing. They alleged that no civilians died in the air bombings.
