The AKP government launched a wave of arrest and imprisonment against the Kurdish politicians and activists next to the military operations in Northern and Southern Kurdistan. Between September 12 and 22, 368 Kurdish patriots were arrested and 88 of them were put behind bars.{divide} The latest police operation took place on September 22 in Izmir, where several houses of the BDP members and provincial leaders and the Political Academy of BDP were raided and around 30 Kurdish patriots were arrested. At the same time, the PKK forces increase their fight, with several attacks in Diyarbakir, Siirt and Van against the police and the gendarmerie. At two different armed actions on September 21 and 22, two police agents were killed.
