On October 6, a court hearing took place before the 2nd Heavy Criminal Court of Uskudar-Istanbul in the case of the operation in the prison of Umraniye in the context of the massacre on December 19. It turned out during the hearing that only 94 of the 267 gendarmes judged in the case have been interrogated yet in the case going on for seven years. The intervening lawyer Oya Aslan said after the hearing that the court tries to reach that the case will become time-barred.
