Hundreds of young people affiliated with the SGD F from all parts of the country like Istanbul, Ankara, Izmir, Adana, Mersin, Denizli, Isparta, Tokat, Samsun and Eskisehir went to Kurecik, Malatya on December 17 in order to protest against the planned NATO antimissile shield.{divide}
After visiting the people of Kurecik who are camping close to the building site of the antimissile shield, the SGDF militants started a march towards the antimissile shield. During the march slogans were shouted frequently like "the people of Kurecik is not alone", "imperialists, collaborators, do not forget the 6th fleet" and "USA murderer, AKP collaborator". After a speech of the president of the SGDF reminding the anti-imperialist tradition of the youth movement, the spokesperson of the Peoples Initiative of Kurecik Kadir Aksu made a speech ending with the following words: "bandits, your end will be Vietnam. AKP, your end will be Mubarak. Down with USA, down with the collaborators."
