On the 17th anniversary of the Gazi massacre, the people condemned the state massacres from Gazi to Roboski on the street. In Gazi, Istanbul, the members of the HDK met in the morning and started their march to the cemetery behind a common banner saying "From Gazi to Roboski it is the state that kills - HDK" followed by the blocks of each organization like BDP , Partizan, ESP , SDP , EMEP , SODAP and TOP.{divide}
At the demonstration, Kemal Poyraz, the father of Zeynep Poyraz, one of the Gazi martyrs, made the call to unite forces and ask account from enemy standing shoulder on shoulder. Ali Ocak, the brother of our comrade and commander of the Gazi uprising Hasan Ocak, said that the Gazi massacre was only one of the dirty state massacres and added: "we are here again to ask account". Later on, the organizations of the 12 March Platform like Halk Cephesi, Mücadele Birligi, Proleter Devrimci Durus, B DSP , DHF and Kaldirac organised a separate demonstration.
During the demonstrations, the small shopkeepers closed down their shops for support.
On the course of the demonstration the MLCP militants hang up a banner read "Forward for new uprisings!" on the way and TKP/ML TIKKO militants hang up another one read "The fascist state will pay account for Gazi and Roboski".
