Between 17th and 25 December 2013 a huge corruption and bribe scandal took place with 4 ministers of the AKP government involved. The AKP government was shocked by concrete and red-handed evidences but as usually saved itself from collapsing through counter actions and demagogy. Our peoples and labourers didn’t acquit this robbery and dirtiness. To the bourgeois state and government rulers’ big historical corruption all over the world was added a new example.

The amount of illegal money and corruption has reached around 87 million euro or 100 million dollars. The examples of corruption which have been concretized by concrete evidences have become a source of jokes among society. The watch the Iranian Reza Zarrab had given to the Finance Minister Zafer Caglayan has a value of 300.000 Swiss Francs; 4,5 million dollars were found in a shoe box in Süleyman Arslan, the general director of Halk Bank; in the sleeping room of the Interior Minister M. Güler’s son 7 steel safes were found with millions of TL. Turkey had experienced dozens of concrete corruption examples of the same scandal for two years. Theft and corruption got united with the AKP government.

This corruption and bribe network also included T. Erdogan, the former prime minister and current president of Turkey. Among the corruption network there were the prime minister, ministers, businessmen, mayors, bureaucrats, bankers and various public servants. Legal proceedings were started against hundreds of people and summary proceedings were prepared. Arrests and imprisonments were applied.

T. Erdogan, who organised big shows with the Ottoman Sultan all over the world, strengthened the regime by fascist laws and institutions and realized the presidential system, was not included into the corruption investigations. The fascist regime and big business preferred to acquit Erdogan. However,
Egemen Bağış (Minister for the European Union), Muammer Güler (Interior Minister), Zafer Çağlayan (Ekonomy Minister), Erdoğan Bayraktar (Environment and Town Planning Minister) from the AKP government had to dismiss.

This big corruption scandal happened due to the conflict of interest and fight with the F. Gülen movement with which they had governed the country together for a while (F. Gülen lives in the US; he is being used as a religion man of Turkey and the USA worldwide and in Turkey). The police, employees working in the field of judiciary and various state bureaucrats working in line with the F. Gülen movement exposed all dirtiness and theft that the prime minister and ministers and people around them using documents, evidences and pictures and recordings. Corruption, bribe and profits from this couldn’t be hidden anymore.

The fact that the AKP government has ruled the country for 12 years has of course made it become more dominant among the state institutions and create a new structure. This means the state has become the AKP and the AKP has become the state. The corruption and bribe investigations were answered with a counter-attack wave by the AKP and the liquidation of the F. Gülen movement that is called “parallel state”, laying off police officers and juridical employees and changing their tasks. T. Erdogan said that they would “enter their caves” alluding to F. Gülen and started to clean the state from F. Gülen’s forces. Of course this “cleaning operation” meant also hiding his own dirtiness and corruptions and politics.

The corruption and bribe scandal was hidden within this liquidation and attack wave. The police and juridical employees as well as the investigations and explanations were experiencing bans. The competitive media was made quiet and many employees arrested. With fear, threats and arrests the corruptions were hidden. The police chiefs and attorneys dealing with the investigations, and the court board commanding and the judges the arrests were sacked or had to change the job. The investigations were banned to be in the news. It was aimed to make the people forget the corruption scandal- The corruption and bribe scandals were explained as the “coup” politics or attacks of the inner and abroad forces against the government.

Even the commission of TBMM (Grand National Assembly of Turkey) investigating the corruption was banned to announce news. This was the reason for the HDP ’s member to leave the commission. The parliament commission rejected the judgment of the ministers at the AYM (Constitutional Court). The files that reached the TBMM were rejected to send to the Supreme Court due to the voices of the AKP ministers. Like the other system parties the AKP government can’t clean what it made dirty. The AKP experiences the last years of being the government. The working class and our peoples will abolish the AKP government which is an enemy of work and labourers. And on the elections on 7th June they will support the HDP, which is promising a new life with demands for freedom, justice and equality, opening the way for demanding accountability.
