International revolutionaries were arrested in Spain because they had fought against ISIS in Rojava. On 26th January the Spanish police searched at least 11 flats and work places in different cities such as Bilbao, Valencia and Madrid. Nine people, among them one with Turkish citizenship, were arrested.

The Spanish Ministry of Internal Affairs announced that this operation was carried out “against the PKK and the YPG close to it”.

The arrested are accused of being members of the Marxist-Leninist Party (Communist Reconstruction) and having fought against ISIS in Rojava.

The solidarity with the Rojava Revolution and supporting this revolution and defend the self-administration means that internationalism is changing from being theory into practice. Rojava is the place where solidarity and internationalism are practiced. It is the duty of everyone being for freedom and democracy, against fascism and oppression to support the continuing progress of this revolution and the fight against the ISIS-gangs and against these religious fascists

The Rojava revolution has shown its impact on Spain. The fear from the Rojava revolution crossed the borders of the Middle East.
