On 23 January, Biden has made two meetings with Prime Minister Davutoglu and President Erdogan on the same agenda. Erdogan was dropped Biden completely but still met with him! From the statements its been understood of which questions they had dealt with: The Syrian war and who will be the participants of the Geneva 3 talks at first, and the fight against ISIS, relations between Turkey-Iraq, Turkey-Israel, and the Cyprus question. Biden has also mentioned of his wishes for “dialogue” and “peaceful solution” in the Kurdish question.

The both sides who touched on the Iraq's territorial integrity, according to international press, has reached a level of agreement onBasika camp. Thus the American imperialism, whose position in Iraq is not shining, has accepted the Turkish soldiers' existence in Iraq for its rivalry with Ruassia and Iran in the country and in the fight against ISIS.

The change in the balance of powers especially following the Russia's involvement in Syria has forced US to take steps in reorganisation of relations between Turkey and Syria, and, according to the press, the talks are still ongoing between two countries. The question here is not only the Turkey and Israel but also the reorganisation of relations between Turkey and Egypt, too. The American imperialism wants the reorganisation of relations between Turkey-Israel and Turkey-Egypt for both the energy resources (natural gas and oil) in Eastern Mediterranean, the transportation of these resources to the world market, at first to Europe, and for inevitable creation of allied forces against Russia-Iran in the Middle East.

The Cyprus question is also rather important due to energy and pipe line in Eastern Mediterranean.

Doubtlessly the main agenda of both talks were to bring Turkey to US-Russia line on which sides to take part in Syria talks and the fight against ISIS.

Although it leads many coalition forces formed to fight ISIS, the American imperialism has become lonely because it does not have forces to put on the ground in Syria. This is why it wants Turkey to become more active in the fight against ISIS and fight directly. So much so that it has stated that it is ready to offer technological support to close border. The fascist dictatorship does not go beyond saying “I will bomb on the air as before but Russia is there”, “I have red lines”, “PYD cannot attend the talks as a side”.

It looks very important for American imperialism, this is why during his call to Erdogan for “condolences”, Obama has tried to say J. Biden is coming for the solution of these two subjects.

The Syrian war has long ago went over being a Syria war; its effects are not only limited with the Middle East, too. For today, the Middle East is a region where the inter imperialist contradictions have sharpened at most, where almost all imperialist countries came across each other with most developed weapons in a tiny area, but conduct the war as a proxy war. The question has also went beyond whether Assad should go or should stay temporarily. What is important is not who will rule but which power will serve which imperialist interests.

In that sense the US and Russia considers the Syria talks in Geneva for the best representation of their own interests. It is understood that they have chosen the reconciliation path because no one was able to set superiority on the other one. At the moment they are engaged in producing formulations that Turkey will accept or forced to accepted. This is the main reason of the delay in their talks. None of them care for the Kurdish nation, Rojava revolution, self-administrations, Arabs, Turkmen nor the refugees drowned in the Mediterranean. This is shown by the talks whether PYD should take part on the table or not. The Rojava revolution and the democratic self-administration, of which its building has advanced there, are being wanted by none of the imperialist and regional countries, including US and Russia. Because they are not happy with the revolution and democratic administration would be an example for the people of the world, they do not want PYD to attend Geneva talks. And for its participation would mean that the Rojava revolution and self-administration to gain political status recognised by those countries.

Sykes-Picot Agreement (1916) has became history in practice. Now the imperialist countries in competition with each other try to draw a new map in the Middle East by taking on their side the puppet local forces. It is unknown whether the Geneva talks will be a basis in drawing a new map for the Middle East. But the efforts spent in organisation of the talks show nothing will come out from these meetings.
