The Iraqi army, the Peshmerga in Southern Kurdistan as well as the YPS (Kurdish-Yazidi resistance forces) started a military movement on 17th October 2016 in order to free the petrol city Mosul from DAESH. The USA and France contributed to this war by flying war planes. And as the war continued, the other imperialist and colonial regional forces are waiting for new agreements to be made to join the war. Like in the Middle East, Iraq and Syria, there is an imperialist-colonial competition and hegemony war on the cities Mosul, Kirkuk, Rakka and Aleppo. The people’s fate in Syria and Iraq is again tried to be determined by imperialist and regional, reactionary forces. During the Ottoman Empire, Mosul used to be a Kurdish district. Cities such as Erbil, Süleymaniye, Dohuk, Zakho in South Kurdistan were affiliated to Mosul. Demographically, the Kurds formed the majority. However, in the upcoming years Mosul’s demographic structure started to change due to migration under compulsion and the resettlement of the population. Yesterday, meaning between 1923-1926 there were negotiations, secret and dirty agreements, between Turkey and Great Britain on Mosul, and today this wants to be continued through different fronts, alliances and politics. The people in the region fight for the imperialist and colonial politics based on ethnic and religious contradictions and not for themselves. Reactionary forces such as the USA, EU, Russia, Turkey and Saudi Arabia that nursed and raised the Islamic fascist DAESH gangs show their hypocrisy on humanity and democracy to finish DAESH occupation.
The oppressed and poor people of Iraq and Syria face the reactionary war results by living massacres, genocide, destruction, poverty and migration. Imperialist hegemony and the concurrency war continue through petrol and gas reserves, pipe lines, ethnic and religious hostility, and regardless any international law, rules and agreements. After the excuse of Russia for shooting a military plane it has become close again to Turley and wants to use that for the Ukraine, Caucasus, Syria and Aleppo politics, its anti-NATO and anti-USA/EU-stance. This is why it approves the colonial Turkish state’s occupation of Jarabulus in Syria. The US and EU-imperialists who had supported the military coup attempt on 15th July keeps quiet regarding the massacres in North Kurdistan. There has been green light given for the occupation of Jarabulus. Today the war on Mosul continues with prearranged, secret agreements, daily seeking for alliances, agreements and politics. Military forces have been settled everywhere in Mosul and the Western door as well as the door towards Shengal and Syria-Rakka have been left open. This situation means that the way has been opened for DAESAH gangs to flee towards Shengal and Rakka. Probably the imperialist and colonial regional states plan to make the DAESH forces that settled in Syria fight against the Syrian regime, PYD, YPG and DSG. If Turkey joins the war, DAESH militants will probably join the Haşdi Watani forces or “change clothes”.
The reason for this is that the USA, EU, Russia, Iran, Turkey, the KDP and Barzani want to hinder the formation of democratic governances such as the North Syrian Federation to spread over to whole Syria and the region. The colonial Turkish regime can see that with the Rojava revolution, the victory in Minbic and the possible liberation of Mosul, the Kurdish people proceed towards a political status. Not only the Kurds in Northern Kurdistan, but the Kurds all over the region have faced colonial and monist attacks, the Rojava revolution and South Kurdistan liquidation politics on a regional level. Its existence in Iraq and Syria on a military, intelligence and political level, its occupation and attacks and its support for DAESH and the other jihadist organisations are based on these reasons. Fascist Erdogan and the AKP government’s desire to govern the country through the state of emergency and KHK (law-amending ordinances), its suspension of parliament, laws and freedoms, its reactionary war within and abroad, and again its actions to become the president in practice are all steps taken to legitimate the state of emergency and KHK (law-amending ordinances).
The army, the maritime power, the government and state are all under the command of the capital and bourgeois class. The aim is to overcome the state crisis that deepened on 15th July with the presidency system. For this it is supported by the racist-fascist MHP . The colonial Turkish regime’s insistency on joining the war in Mosul is linked to its aim to liquidate the Rojava revolution of the Kurdish people in the region and its political institutionalising, and ensure the formation of an Islamic Sunni rulership in Saudi Arabia in the region, Qatar and Mosul. The Turkish Republic’s claims on Mosul are historical. It considers Mosul and Kirkuk within the National Pact. It has religious, expansionist and colonialist aims concerning Mosul, Kirkuk and Aleppo. After Mosul and depending on the conditions, the occupation plans of the Yazidi Kurdish autonomous region in Shengal together with Barzani-KDP are another topic of the dirty agreement. The Kurdish people are the most organised and politicalised force in the region. The Kurdish people in the region will resist against this colonial attack and occupations, The Kurdish people, The Peshmerga in South Kurdistan, the YPS (Yazidi resistance forces), the YPG and the HPG military forces will defend its land against DAESH and the other occupying imperialist and regional forces, meaning Turkey, Iran, Syria, Iraq and other occupying forces. They will determine their own fate.
