Long live the 8th of March! Long live women's revolution!
The 8th of March is a melody of freedom for billions of women all over the world. It is the day which represents the women's struggle for freedom and equality and is a historical achievement of the communist women's movement dedicated to all the laboring women in the world. It is the day for uprising against the system of male dominance, of barbarism and war. In factories, schools, on the streets in resistances, at homes, in prisons, in the mountains, women are the representatives of a free future and they continue fighting. The international women's strike and the general social awakening against male violence and sexual oppression are the first signals of a beginning of women uprisings.
Women shout “this life is ours, we want to live free!” and let humanity arise. This year 8th of March stands under the banner of defending women’s revolution all over the world. This year the 8th of March calls the women all over the world to take their place not only to fight for her own freedom, but also to defend the achievements of women's revolution such as the Rojava revolution. The Rojava Revolution has materially guaranteed women's freedom. In Rojava, women defend their own existences in an organized manner. The women's revolution in Rojava with all its incomparably progressive developments, innumerable types of autonomous organizations and means, such as the quota system to guarantee women's participation or the equal representation in all areas of life, the self defense forces of women, 'women's houses' in communities, several laws against violence and inequality become a source of power and hope for all women in the world. It contents possibilities which will pave the way for women's uprisings in the whole region.
All the gains of the women in Rojava, their self sacrifice and resistance, their participation in the revolution have become an example of women's revolution and leads to important developments of our gender consciousness.
The occupation war of fascist Erdoğan and his regime against Afrin isn't just a colonialist attack against the achievements of the Kurdish nation for a political status. It is also an attack of a fascist, male dominant and women suppressing dictatorship, which tries to defeat the women's revolution in Rojava. Therefore, this year defending Afrin, defending Rojava means defending women's revolution. This is one of the most urgent tasks of communist, revolutionary and progressive women of out time.
Let the women's revolution win in Afrin and all over the world!
Long live the 8th of March!
