Our party left behind another year in its struggle for revolution and socialism that it has been conducting with blood and sweat. Our party, which came to existence following a tough struggle for unity started by the communist organizations (TKIH, TDKIH and TKP-ML Movement) in 1989, founded on the 10th of September 1994. By gaining more strength through the participation of TKP/ML-YIO during the 1st Party and Unity Conference in 1995, our party made additions to the historic experiences of the international communist movement by its blows to the narrow-groupism in the struggle for unity. During that historical period when there was intensive liquidationism on the international arena and when there were yells saying "socialism is dead", the meaning of the unity efforts of the organizations created our party is big. Our party, which renewed itself on every step that it took and waved the banner of Marxism-Leninism at heights, put its mark on many successes during its 12 years of short history. It is the vanguard communist party of Turkey through different methods and styles of struggle that it added to the revolutionary movement of Turkey and understanding of mobilizing the masses.

Our party led the Gazi uprising only in its foundation process and steeled itself in the fire of barricade. The struggle against disappearances under police custody conducted for the commander of Gazi uprising, comrade Hasan Ocak, is its work. Our youth organization's, Communist Youth Organisation, role is big in the struggle of the university youth for free-scientific-democratic education. Its share in advancing of the democratic women struggle and in the Conference against sexual abuse and rape under detention" must be seen. It participated in and led the workers' struggle in four corners of Turkey and Northern Kurdistan. The tooth-to-tooth struggle in the dockyards with the perspective of class unionism is in its steel. Its footsteps can be easily seen in the Okmeydani resistance created during the struggle against the 2004 NATO Summit. It is the red colour of streets and squares in May Days, 8 Marches.

It acted not chauvinist but with the proletarian internationalism perspective in its approach to the Kurdish National Liberation Struggle, and tried to spread the fire of national revolution to the Western cities. It was not listlessness over the national democratic demands of the Kurdish nation, but, moreover, it fought by carrying the understanding of ‘socialist patriotism' in Kurdistan.

Our party is the Turkey and N. Kurdistan arm of the international communist movement. For establishment of international communist movement under an international roof, our party struggles with body and soul. It develops its international relations everyday and presents its ideas and experiences to the service of international communist movement by participating in the creation of regional co-ordinations.

It resisted and fought against the fascist dictatorship's policy of repression, intimidation and isolation and the offence of arrest-imprisonment, disappearances and massacre. In this history which we created by giving many of its warriors and militants as martyrs, our party continues to fight under fire in order to realize its goal, the dictatorship of proletariat. As the poet, Metin Demirtas said; "The army of hope is walking by firing at the hopelessness".
