Statement No:17 The bourgeois state of Belgium has added another chain of attack on DHKP-C (Revolutionary People's Liberation Party-Front) from Turkey and Northern Kurdistan. On 7 November, the Court of Appeal in Gent-Belgium has increased the previous sentences of Dursun Karatas from 5 years to 7 years, of Musa Asoglu from 6 years to 7 years, and also approved the punishment of Fehriye Erdal, Kaya Saz, Sukriye Akar Ozordulu and Zerrin Sirri for 4 years. Bahar Kimyongor's sentence was also increased from 4 years to 5 years, and Kimyongur, who was attended to the court, is now being sent prison. On 1 April 2004, the Perugia Prosecutor in Italy was given a start of an international operation, and as result 120 revolutionaries were arrested through an operation carried out in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan, in Holland, Italy, Germany and Belgium. Such international conspiracies were also conducted against the PKK and its leader Abdullah Ocalan in 1999, the Communist Party of Spain (Reconstructed) in 2000, the Maoist Communist Party in 2005 and our Party, MLCP, in September 2006. The last attack of the Belgian state has once more shown that the "democracy" of the EU imperialists is a big lie. The economical and political expectations created by the Turkish state through EU membership among the peoples of Turkey and Northern Kurdistan, are an illusion. Imperialists are attacking in every way, including the international operations, to the progressive and revolutionary forces that can be an obstacle before their strategic plans. And Anti-terror Laws form the ground of these attacks by announcing as "terrorist" the struggle of the working class and labourer masses. Our Party, MLCP, calls on all progressive, revolutionary and communist forces to show international solidarity against the attacks on our comrades-in-arm from DHKP-C. Imperialists' courts cannot try revolutionaries! Repression cannot intimidate us! Long live comradeship-in-arms! MLCP Turkey/Northern Kurdistan International Bureau 8 November 2006
