Statement No:19

The repression of the German state against democratic organizations is increasing. On November 28, the German police raided democratic organizations and flats under the name of DHKP-C operation in the cities of Stuttgart, Cologne, Berlin, Heidelberg and Straubing, plundered them and confiscated computers, CDs, DVDs, video cassettes, books and magazines. Four persons have been imprisoned.

Such raids are nothing new in the so-called democratic countries of Europe. There have been similar raids in the last few years in Italy, France, the Netherlands and Belgium and more than 120 revolutionaries have been imprisoned.

This last example has shown once more that reaction prevails in the countries of the European Union, which are permanently speaking of democracy. What they name democracy is the freedom of the monopoly capital to exploit the working class unlimited. The "European" democracy is the democracy that defends this freedom. Those, who fight against the exploitation of the monopoly capital and all those progressive, revolutionary and communist forces, which might be an obstacle for the imperialist interests, are permanently exposed to attacks.

The raids in a series of democratic organization and flats as well as the imprisonment of persons under the name of DHKP-C operation in Germany is one part of the attack of the German imperialism against the democratic rights and freedoms and the most topical example. We are convinced that our revolutionary friends are not standing alone against these attacks and that these attacks are not able to hinder the struggle of our revolutionary friends. Such attacks will be fought back by the united revolutionary struggle, exactly as in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan.

Our party MLCP protests against all those attacks directed against all progressive, revolutionary and communist forces, declares its solidarity with the revolutionary organizations and persons affected by the attacks and demands the immediate release of the imprisoned persons.
