After the attacks on the 8th and the 21st of September, the fascist dictatorship has initiated another extensive attack. This attack for which they announced that they were preparing for 6 months has been carried out on 7 November 2006 simultaneously. Groups from the Anti-terror Department and Special Forces in Istanbul raided the Basic Rights Federation in Sisli, the magazine "Yuruyus" in Taksim and Ozan Yayimcilik where the technical work of the magazine is done, the culture centre karanfilller, the culture centre Idil, Association of Solidarity with the Families of Prisoners ( TAYAD ), and the branches of the Basic Rights and Freedoms Association in the districts Umraniye, Gulsuyu, Sarigazi, Pendik, Alibeykoy, Nurtepe, Okmeydani, Bagcilar, Bahcelievler, Ikitelli, Esenyurt and Gazi and took more than 20 revolutionaries under custody. They confiscated the computers, CDs and other technical equipment in the raided offices.
Likewise, in September, the central office and the branches of the newspaper Atilim, Socialist Platform of the Oppressed ( ESP ), Socialist Youth Association ( SGD ), the central offices of the trade unions Limter-Is and Tekstil-Sen , Labourer Women's Association ( EKD ), neighbourhood associations in different districts, the culture centre BEKSAV , the cultural review Sanat ve Hayat (Life & Art), the radio Ozgur Radyo and the houses of those who work at these places were raided simultaneously by the police; approximately 200 revolutionaries and socialists including trade union presidents and leaders, journalists and the leaders of the associations were taken under police custody and approximately 100 of them were imprisoned. 7 December attack is a continuation of the 8 and 21 September attacks.
On 7 December, the fascist dictatorship has added another attack to its attacks of raid, arrestment and imprisonment which are very similar those of the periods of coups and emergency states. With its new liquidation and annihilation concept, the fascist dictatorship has started a new process of intimidating and liquidating the opposition against the system as a whole.7 December attacks are a part of the international complot just as the September attacks. They are aiming at liquidating the revolutionary movement in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan in order to make ineffective the forces which may hinder the plans of their imperialist masters.
The fascist dictatorship was not able to reach its "objective" and will not. We know that they had announced that they had destroyed and annihilated with the previous attacks. The process has shown that these kind of announces of the fascist dictatorship do not have a meaning beyond than being made for boosting its morale. What did they destroy, what did they annihilate? Were they able to terminate the revolutionary struggle? Were they able to break the resistance in the prisons? Were they able to liquidate the Kurdish national movement? They killed 17 comrades-in-arms from MKP , but MKP continues fighting. Were they able to destroy MLCP by the raids and imprisonments in September conducted under the name of "MLCP operations"? On the contrary, the revolutionary and communist movement has been strengthened after these attacks.
The same thing will occur again now and they will not be able to get a result from the 7 December attacks. The united resistance of the revolutionaries and communists in different districts of Istanbul during the attacks has already shown that the fascist dictatorship will not be able to achieve its goal. The "Emergency Line" founded by 25 parties and organizations right after the attack has shown with its declarations and actions that they will not let such attacks be successful.
Our party is of the opinion that such attacks can only be fought back by the united revolutionary will and resistance. We accept this attack against the revolutionary and progressive magazines, associations and organizations as an attack against us and we announce that we will increase the fight against this. It is the day to struggle together. Let's increase this revolutionary merit and tradition of us again in the common fight.
