The activities of the Socialist Platform of the Oppressed ( ESP ), who organised an independent candidate power with socialist candidates for the elections, have been one of the most important experiences of the election period of July 22 for the workers and labourers. The ESP joined the elections with 8 independent socialist candidates in Turkey; in Kurdistan the candidates of the DTP (Party for a Democratic Society) were supported because of the increasing oppression and the chauvinist provocations against the Kurdish nation and its legal organisations, mainly the DTP. Whilein the West of Turkey the ESP supported Sebahat Tuncel, the independent candidate for the 3rd election zone of Istanbul, in some other cities the independent candidates were supported that were nominated together by the revolutionary progressive forces.

The communist vanguard has considered the street as a battleground which is not to be waived. This is why the whole election propaganda was organised in a way that the street is in the centre. In other words; the election propaganda of the communist vanguard contained the organisation of a mass movement and the struggle against the reactionary civil war plans and attacks of fascism on the street. In this sense, the Marxist Leninist Communists conveyed their dream of socialism to ten thousands of workers and labourers and gathered hundreds of them at street actions, street parliaments and street courts.

The Marxist Leninist Communists, who considered the street courts and parliaments as a form to organise the forces on the street, tried to organise the power of the street through broad mass agitation. The communist vanguard used the organisation of the forces on the street at the same time for a concrete preparation of the revolutionary resistance against the fascist agression.

The street courts became an answer in the practice on the conscious to demand an account.

- The street parliaments became a tribune on which the workers and labourers loudly raised their demands. In these parliaments, we discussed our problems, demands, solutions and how we have to continue in future.

Especially the street parliaments became a specific means which have been used in our country not only to the election period but can be developed further. The street parliaments will develop the conscious for revolutionary democracy and have enriched the workers and labourers with experiences for their future struggle.

The entry of 22 independent candidates of the DTP into parliament is another important result of the elections of July 22. Because of the 10% threshold all over the country, the DTP had decided to join the elections with independent candidates.

While some of the revolutionary organisations called for an boycott of the elections, others used this period for their own political activities. Leaving behind the elections of July 22, we are looking forward to the future period, in which a strong battle will take place in terms of the contradictions between the cliques of the ruling forces as well as from the point of view of the working class. The incompetence of the army to isolate the AKP at the presidential elections could led to a sharp increase of the contradictions in this sense. The plans and the interest of the fascist dictatorship to march into South Kurdistan still remain an urgent question whose solution has been postponed to the period after the elections.

Based on that, one can assume that after the AKP`s election victory the front of the generals will do everything to finally take the initiative. The Kurdish question will continue to remain on top of the agenda of the ruling forces and the oppression of the Kurdish people and the snaky games against them will proceed. As it is again the collaborating AKP that formed the government, the workers and labourers will face new neo-liberal attacks such as economical and social impoverishment and at the same time an increase of fascist oppression and bans as well as strong battles.

We as the MLCP have considered the elections as a period during which the interest of the masses in politics increases and during which the struggle on the street in the centre of focus so that the aim could be persued to strengthen socialist agitation and propaganda and the masses could be organised for the revolution and socialism. After the elections, the Marxists Leninists Communists will act for turn the revolutionary opportunities that appear into material force. Now, it is time to organise the achievements of the election campaign. We have the duty to strengthen our ties with the workers and labourers with whom we have set up relations and who remember us in their conscious and gave us a place in their hearts. We also have to organise the necessary means and forms of struggle to assign a task to the new forces that we got to know during the election period and who have joined our activities from now on.

Against the two fronts of the ruling forces that are shown as alternatives, our party will mobilise its forces that the progressive, revolutionary and socialist forces will enter the process of organising themselves in form of a "front".
