10th September is our party's birth day. The foundation of the party by the communists of Turkey and Northern Kurdistan on 10th September 1994 by leaving the period of groups behind was, at the same time, meant to be a revolution of thinking and overcoming their selves. The party has created many new traditions in our country in the space of 10 years. Our party's march towards revolution was partly slowed-down for a certain period because of the heavy attacks of the enemy and our own weaknesses. But the party has overcome these with the will of the 3rd Congress and gained developments in all areas. While celebrating the 10th foundation-anniversary, the party has defined the new period of its development as "transformation from vanguard party to leading party".

Our Party considers the celebration of 10th anniversary as a campaign. In the frame of this campaign, our cadres and sympathisers, who began an intense work, are taking the party to the masses by using many styles and methods of the struggle. City centres, suburbs, streets, houses of the labouring people, factories, schools, courts and prisons are witnessing the party's 10th anniversary celebrations. Communists -those who first began to call workers and labourers to the party ranks with posters, leaflets and writings on walls- later started a socialist competition in order to directly carry the light and hope of the communist vanguard and explain the party to the masses.

The squads formed under the name of our party martyrs are carrying our party, together with the heritage of our martyrs, to the masses through agitation activities that they are organising from city to city and street to street.

Tens of squads are formed in Istanbul and they are taking the party to the masses. In Istanbul-Tuzla, the Kid Comsomol, formed within the Suleyman Yeter Squad, celebrated the 10th anniversary of the party on the streets of Tuzla by shouting "On the 10th anniversary with the Party to victory, to revolution! and "Long Live proletarian Internationalism". 30 kids organised a demonstration in Okmeydani and celebrated the 10th anniversary of the party with the following slogans: "Our comrade Ali Haydar lives, MLCP fights", "Long live MLCP for the victory of revolution! and "Long live MLCP".

The communist women are also actively taking their part within the celebration of 10th anniversary with their squads such as "Clara Zetkin Squad" and "We are present, too!"

The communist youth are also involved in the celebration of the 10th anniversary with their energies.

In Ankara, the district of Mamak, where our comrade Huseyin Demircioglu conducted revolutionary activities before his imprisonment, is getting to know the part through the work of the Huseyin Demircioglu Squad. Also, the boroughs of Malatya are being designed with the writings of Abuzer Cat Militia Group of MLCP Kurdistan Organisation.

The squads of Suleyman Yeter and Adil Can are continuing to enlighten the workers and labourers in the GFCzeltepe district of Izmir. Also, the Irfan Celik Squad of the Erkut Direkci Youth Detachment is designing the streets of Limontepe.

While the Ahmet Metin Koyuncu Squad meets with the labourers in Eskisehir, the activities on 10th Anniversary are uninterruptedly continuing in Antakya, Samandag and Iskendurun.

While the Suburbs of Adana meet with the Tuncay YA6ldA6rA6m Squad and the YFCregir D6zkan Tekin Squad, the leaflet with the heading "On the 10th anniversary with the Party to victory, to revolution!" of the MLCP Adana Province Committee is still being distributed widespread.

The communists of Kurdistan have started their activities by forming "Koma Hevi" ("Groups of Hope") and named their works as "Meeting with the Hope". The Groups of Hope are carrying the name of the place, in which they have been founded, and are taking the party to the poor Kurdish people in Antep, Amed, Sivas, Dersim etc.

Excitement of the "Big Meeting"

With free agitations, one-to-one conversations, meetings, panels, pickets and picnics, the communists who are in a happy and exciting activity are preparing for the "big meeting" which will take place in the country and abroad. Whilst the preparations for the "Big Meeting" and the "Open Air Festival", taking place abroad, which contain a wide political and cultural programme under the 10th anniversary celebrations, are continuing with great speed, the introduction activities for these events have turned into a socialist competition.

The communist artists who are developing their squads for the 10th anniversary campaign are also calling on workers and toilers to take part in the "Big Meeting".

Parallel to the activities taking place in the country, in Europe, firstly in Germany, Switzerland, France, Holland and England, then in other places, the activities to take the party to the masses and to ensure a large participation in the Open Air Festival are continuing.

MLCP is calling on all friends, progressive people and democrats to participate in the "Big Meeting" and the "Open Air Festival".
