Today, US imperialism is repeating the capitalist barbarity and savageness, and proving her numerous recidivists, which are full of dirty crimes against humanity, once again through the occupation of Iraq and the massacres in Fallujah. In that manner, they didn't comply with any international agreement, settlement and war-rule. They didn't consider any international organisation or institution as binding. Despite that they could not repress the Iraqi resistance. They sank into the bog. They have intensified their tactics and diplomatic moves to make other imperialist countries, regional and local powers the partner of occupation in order to let this bog be forgotten. But it didn't work. And even the Iraqi elections, which they have announced to be done in January 2005, and the state protocols only for show, could not break the resistance. Because, the plunder of Iraq, the seizure of oil resources, the killing of children and wounded people, the national and religious conflicts, Abu Ghraibs, rape and degrading treatments, are all the reality of Iraq under occupation. Therefore, in the face of this fact, all the castles, walls, curtains, demagogies have had to collapse at last.

The neo-liberal attacks of the EU imperialists, which placed immigrants to the target-board in the first hand, and applied later than the USA and UK, have been faced with the great reaction and action of the classes from below. The strikes, resistances and demonstrations against Agenda 2010 and Hartz 4 in Germany have also influenced the Netherlands. The massive demonstration, which was organised for the first time after the Second World War and participated by 300 thousand people, has scared the entire European bourgeoisie. Thus, the European bourgeoisie have reached another method of breaking the mass wave on the basis of nationalist propaganda and spreading fear as they needed. They alleged that Theo Van Gogh, who made a debatable film in Netherlands upon the Islam's view on the woman and who was known as a "neo-fascist" by the progressive people, was killed on 2 November by a young person from Morocco. Upon this development, the mosques, houses and schools of immigrant Muslim people were attacked. These attacks have gone beyond the borders of the Netherlands. Similar attacks and sabotages have also increased in Germany. Some Muslim groups, who came face to face with these attacks, have also begun setting fires on churches. Then the imperialist governments, system parties and media started exploiting the religious differences of Islam and Christianity. It was in the Netherlands at first, and then this incident was placed into the agenda of all Europe.

The government of Netherlands has "declared war" on Islam. In Germany, the parties of the monopoly bourgeoisie have made statements of putting Muslim peoples into the target of attacks. CDU leader Angela Merkel has said that "there were parallel societies formed and that cannot be accepted", and anticipated the dominance of German culture and Germanilasation through repression. They lined "deportation" threats against the immigrants. And the discussion of "the clash of civilisations" has re-flamed. The imperialist bourgeoisie, their ideologists and media have taken up the thesis of "clash of civilisations" again.

Doubtlessly, we cannot be contended with this part of the case which can be seen. In this period, US imperialism is committing crimes against the humanity in Iraq and Fallujah, and vowing threats against different countries with similar reasons as with Iraq. Russia and the USA are developing new nuclear weapons. The EU is announcing that the army for urgent interference is being educated. Germany is looking for a reason to interfere with Kosovo. It is implementing the methods of torture to its soldiers under the name of "manoeuvres and education". Ukraine is having an imperialist quarrel upon the election results. The demagogy of "Islamic terror" or saying that the European concurrence of Muslim immigrants cannot be dealt with without considerung the rivalry and hegemonic war between the imperialist powers and monopolies.

Besides the occupation, colonialism and wars, the politics of imperialist hegemony also tends to set up an influence on the basis of exploitation of national, religious and religious sect contradictions. There are many examples of this in the Caucasus, Middle East, Balkans, Latin America and Africa. And, Iraq is the last example of this.

So, why is the Islam-Christianity conflict under the name of the "clash of civilisations" being kept on the agenda?

In the imperialist countries, the immigrant labourers are shown as the cause of capi- talist economic stagnation and crisis, of unemployment, criminal incidents and the illnesses of capitalism that have appeared. But the increase of mass movement against the economical and social repressions has invalidated the demagogy. So, the "clash of civilisations" thesis means to strike fear and threat to both the native peoples and the immigrant labourers. It means the fascist and racist movement's attack over the Muslim peoples.

By the crush or regression of the dynamics, strength and the development level of the national resistance in Iraq they try to show the actors of this resistance as "terrorist" or break them off from their solidarity forces. After the train station bombing in Spain, Imperialist forces, in order to weaken the support for the resistance and solidarity of the Middle East, Iraq and Palestine, are now declaring the Muslim people as "terrorists" They want to apply their neo-liberal attack politics without obstruction through the fear of "Islamic terror" and being "surrounded by immigrant Muslims". As a matter of fact, the Netherlands attacked the political, social and economic rights of and won by worker and toiler masses. It rained threats of deportation upon Muslim immigrant labourers and refugees. It brought new laws and prohibitions in to the agenda.

The imperialist capital's hands are bloody. In its appetite and passion for maximum profit, it commits every crime. Fascism is the product of imperialism, the centre of political reactionism. In the current historical period, the national, ethnic and religious conflicts, caused by the imperialist bourgeoisie on regional levels, are continuing. They will not show any hesitation in bringing the world proletariat and the peoples in different countries face to face with huge conflicts under the name of the "clash of civilisations".

MLCP will fight against this chauvinist poison and the dirty war methods which make peoples enemy of each other. The Intifada, the Serhildan s (Kurdish mass protests) and the resistances of the Middle East show the way of the peoples' brotherhood, equality and freedom. The Palestinian stone generals, the Iraqi people's passionate and committed resistors against the occupation are fighting not only for their own countries, but also for the peoples and oppressed of the world.

MLCP pointed out these developments months before. And, in the face of the ideological and political deception created by the imperialist bourgeoisie, she made a call for a conference in Europr upon the anti-imperialist parties and groups in order to support the resistance of Iraq and Palestine. The conference, which will take place in the near future, will re-uphold the anti-imperialist consciousness and action that has been regressed. The best response to the imperialist bourgeoisie, which placed Muslim people in the target of attack, will be given by its own working class, labourers and revolutionaries.
