The first hearing of the trial against the communists who had been imprisoned since September 8-12, 2006, took place on October 26 at the Turkish bourgeois court in Istanbul.
It could not be a coincidence that the fascist dictatorship's attack to liquidate our party was realised on the anniversary of the foundation of our party and the begin of the trial was set for October, because September 10, which is the anniversary of our party, has brought the light of the Great October Revolution that finished the bourgeois hegemony in one-sixth of the world to Turkey and Northern Kurdistan. The foundation of the Communist party of Turkey (TKP) in Baku on September 10, 1920 after the October Revolution meant that the seeds of the October Revolutions were planted in Anatolia. The killing of the TKP leaders by the Turkish bourgeoisie in the night from January 28 to 29, 1921 at the Black Sea showed the extent of the Turkish state's attitude, yet in the first years of its foundation, towards the October Revolution, socialism and communism.
The seeds planted on September 10, 1920 in Anatolia sprouted with the Unity Revolution on September 10, 1994. The proletariat of Turkey and Northern Kurdistan met with its vanguard that will lead the proletariat to its liberation and its party MLCP. The attacks against September 10 are the expression of fear and panic towards the October Revolution. It has been an attack against the heritage of the October Revolution carried out in practice against our party.
The trial that started on October 26 is the struggle for hegemony between the proletariat and the bourgeoisie concretised at the September 10 will. The bourgeoisie attacks September 10 to oppress the struggle for a world without classes and exploitation and to continue its own system of repression and exploitation.
The arrests and detentions against those defending the September 10 will on the same date as its foundation show the ideological part of the attacks. The fascist dictatorship wanted to change our party's anniversary of foundation into a day of defeat and therefore named its ideological, political and organisational attack, carried out against the working class in general and the MLCP in practice, "Gaye"(aim, tn.). However, our party managed to stand tall against the attacks and made the "Gaye" of the enemy stuck in its throat. Our party showed that it has a firm ideological, political and organisational stance to overcome these attacks and proved that it managed to establish the grounds for the revolution and socialism in Turkey and Northern Kurdistan.
The trial of September 10 and the hearings are the continuation of the Turkish state's line of "Gaye" and completely deal with ideological and political conviction. This clash which will continue throughout the trial will not be restricted with the court hall. The communists have yet at the first hearing convicted fascism and will continue to do so. They showed that the working class` rights of organising and destroying the fascist dictatorship are legitimated.
As with these attacks the fascist dictatorship tried to liquidate our party's initiative of leadership, the answer given by our party was to strengthening its vanguard position at every field. Our party will strengthen the struggle for revolution and socialism in the court halls, factories, on the streets and at the barricades as well as internationally with the conscious of having the duty to develop itself at every field and strengthening its roots among the ranks of the working class and the oppressed.
