The Turkish colonial fascism has announced its mission to South Kurdistan. After making parliament pass the approval for the occupation on October 17, Turkish colonial fascism's warmonger reached its peak. Although the approval for the occupation is shown as been accepted with the single aim to strike a heavy blow against the
PKK , it involves making a step forwards in reaching the objectives of hindering the formation of a Kurdish state in South Kurdistan and realising the dream of expansion towards Kirkuk. It is tried to put pressure on the USA as well as on the federal government of South Kurdistan for the sake of the aims.
With the approval of the South Kurdistan occupation, the chauvinist aggression against the Kurdish people has reached a dangerous level. Besides the procedure to ban the
DTP and numerous arrests and detentions, the anti-propaganda against DTP deputies and the political lynching attempts, DTP offices, houses and work places of Kurdish labourers have been set on fire and have faced to be shot. In the region of Turkey and Northern Kurdistan, that has witnessed many massacres as a result of provocations by the state; an atmosphere of new massacres is being prepared now.
The denial and annihilation of the Kurdish state is the Turkish colonial state's policy of 80 years.
Since the defeat of Seyh Sait`s revolt in 1925, the Kurdish people have not been acknowledged, it has been claimed that they were not another nation but Turks who live in the mountains, their language was banned, their villages set on fire, they were forced to migrate and faced numerous massacres. The Kurdish people started a new rebellion in the 1970ies after the revolt of Dersim in 1938 had been oppressed with a bloody massacre. With the foundation of the PKK in 1978 and the begin of the armed struggle in 1984, the struggle of the PKK reached the level of a national revolution. In 1999, however, the PKK leader Abdullah Ocalan was taken hostage on the basis of an international conspiracy and handed over to the Turkish state. Together with Ocalan`s defence speeches made from the Imrali prison, the PKK diverted from its petty bourgeois national revolution line and followed the petty bourgeois reformist line, but still the Kurdish national struggle has continued to make Turkish colonial fascism dream nightmares.
The Kurdish national question does not only make Turkish bourgeoisie having nightmares.
Kurdistan is splitted into four countries and each part is colonialised by Iraq, Turkey, Iran and Syria. The Kurdish question is in this sense among the basic questions waiting for a solution on the basis of the peoples' brotherhood in the Middle East region.
The policy of annihilating and denying the Kurdish nation has not managed to oppress the Kurdish national struggle. In contrary, together with the occupation of Iraq by the USA a period of formation of the Kurdish state has developed and this has deteriorated the situation of Turkish colonialism. The colonial regime is not able to find a solution concerning the reality of the existence of the Kurdish nation. This clash has even increased the contradictions existing between the ruling classes. One part of the bourgeoisie tends to change its attitude towards the traditional line of denial and annihilation. Another name for this solution is the policy of the USA which wants to break the will of the Kurdish nation with some parts of it and to insist on a solution without the PKK. This is exactly the policy that was discussed during the last meeting of Prime Minister T. Erdogan with Bush. However, as deep as the contradictions between the two wings of the bourgeoisie might be, the only point on which they agree with the bourgeois liberals and the imperialist USA is the solution without the PKK, making the Kurdish people's organised struggle surrender.
With the colonialism's annihilation and denial attack, the Kurdish people are facing isolation by imperialism and attacks that have the aim to break the organised struggle. The Kurdish people have struggled for years against this pincers. This resistance has made colonial fascism experience one crisis after another. The armed struggle of the Kurdish people that has been lasting for years managed to overcome the ban on the Kurdish language in daily life, to practically accept the existence of the Kurdish nation and has displayed the dilemma of the denial and annihilation policy. The disability of the ruling forces to find a solution against this struggle is also shown by the statements made one after another by the retired generals and the tendencies of some groups of the bourgeoisie to make compromises that they had never agreed to before.
Our party MLCP fights against the policy of denial and annihilation of the Kurdish people by increasing its struggle and organisation in Northern Kurdistan and calling on the Turkish workers and labourers in Turkey to struggle together with the Kurdish people shoulder to shoulder against the fascist dictatorship and the poison of chauvinism. One important fact of the question is the need of the Turkish workers and labourers to unite their fate with the Kurdish people's with the conscious that their own freedom depends on the Kurdish nation's freedom.
It is the international duty of not only our region but of the world's people, working class and labourers and their revolutionary leaders to stand up against the Turkish colonialist fascism's policy of denial and annihilation and to show solidarity. Our party MLCP calls on all progressive, revolutionary and communist forces to watch these important developments in Kurdistan carefully and to show solidarity.
