The collaborationist and murderer Colombian state which is one of the main alliances of the USA in Latin America has murdered Raul Reyes, Commander of the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC) and 16 fighters of FARC at the border of Ecuador.
This brutal attack of the Colombian state is at the same time an attack of the US imperialism against the increasing anti-imperialist struggles in Latin America. With this attack, the USA's collaborator and servant government of Uribe challenges the anti-imperialist governments of Ecuador and Venezuela, which were carried to the power by the people's struggles, too. The US imperialism and its collaborators, who have turned the Middle East into a lake of blood, do not want to remain silent before the anti-imperialist and revolutionary upsurge in Latin America.
The timing of the cross-border attack of the Colombian government corresponds with the attack of occupation in our region Middle East committed by the colonialist fascist Turkish state against the guerrilla forces of PKK (Workers' Party of Kurdistan) which is the organisation of the Kurdish national liberation struggle. The Colonialist fascist Turkish regime has also passed the border of Southern Kurdistan and waged land operations on the guerrilla forces of PKK, by this way carrying there its dirty war in Northern Kurdistan. However, it has received a debacle there just as during the previous attacks. Again in our region, the Israeli Zionism has intensified its attacks on the Palestinian people and the freedom forces in Palestine.
The imperialist capitalist system fed by the blood of workers, labourers and oppressed peoples blow winds of war at every part of the world, it organises reactionary civil wars and provokes enmity among the peoples.
In Colombia as well, the bellicose and murderer Uribe regime has responded the act of the FARC of setting four hostages free and its call for peace negotiations with this massacre. As a matter of fact, the US imperialists have announced their support to Uribe and they tried to legitimise the terror of the Colombian state in face of the reaction of the Venezuelan and Ecuadorian governments against the cross-border massacre. This attack has shown once more that peace and brotherhood for the working class, labouring masses and oppressed peoples can only be possible with the definite defeat of the imperialist capitalist barbarity system.
As the MLCP, we greet the Commander Raul Reyes and the 16 fighters of FARC that were killed at the countryside of Latin America and we express our solidarity with the Colombian workers and labourers and their progressive and revolutionary vanguards.
