The FARC under the leadership of Marulanda is an important force, which carries out the revolutionary struggle against the fascist Columbian Regime and its master, the US-imperialism, by means of the guerrilla war. The FARC are a revolutionary force, which managed in spite of the attacks of liquidation of imperialism and also faced with the "Plan Columbia" to stand tall and continue the guerrilla war. The 44 years of struggle experiences and the hope flourishing in the mountains of Columbia will continue to grow.

On May 20, we also lost the experienced revolutionary leader of the Philippine people and the International League of Peoples Struggle (ILPS), Crispin Beltran. Beltran, who left us I the age of 75 years, has fought his whole life without interruption in the ranks of the workers and labourers and was a revolutionary, who participated in the foundation and leadership of many organisations. Beltran got a lot done for the organisation and mobilisation to the struggle of the working class. He was one of the founders of the ILPS, its first chairman and later its honorary chairman. Resulting from its struggle, Beltran was a target of the attacks of the state, the last time he was imprisoned by the Philippine State from February 2006 to October 2007.

Our Party MLCP shares the pain for the loss of Marulanda of the FARC and for the loss of Beltran of the ILPS, first of all with the FARC, the ILPS and the peoples of Columbia and the Philippines and the revolutionary public opinion and expresses its belief that the revolutionary struggle in Columbia and the Philippines will be successful, that the peoples of Columbia and the Philippines will achieve victory in their struggle carried out against imperialism.

Our Party will keep the revolutionary leaders of the Columbian and the Philippine people Marulanda and Beltran alive in its struggle.
