The chauvinism hysteria has been blown up in Mersin during the 21st March Newroz (a festival of the Kurdish, Middle Eastern and Central Asian people, means reviving in spring) celebrations. Dragging of the Turkish flag on the floor by two children during the Newroz demonstration organised by Kurdish people in Mersin have taken the provoked Turkish chauvinism and nationalism to the level of lynch glut. Five revolutionaries from TAYAD , who were distributing leaflets in Trabzon, have wanted to be murdered by a lynch group consisted of 2000 people and directed by the State military forces, MHP (Nationalist Action Party) and other fascist forces. In this incident, the people who wanted to be lynched were detained, not the aggressors. The attack supported by the fascist Turkish state has triggered the other attacks in various places of the country. In different universities, cities and towns, the fascists from MHP and reactionary elements of the society, who were benumb with the poison of chauvinism, are used as the apparatus of offence with the demagogy of "burning the flag" and "the attack of the PKK or Kurds".

The history of Turkish bourgeois state is full of psychological war methods and dark provocations. In the past, they provoked reactionary civil wars through demagogies like "there is an attack to the mosques" and "the danger of communism" in order to break and back step the developing struggle of the worker and labourer masses against the fascist regime and the collaborator capitalism. And now they placed the Kurdish people, who fight for their national and democratic rights, into the target of offensive.

The State and its civil reactionary fascist group have burned 35 Alevi (an oppressed religious sect influenced very little from religion) artists and progressive intellectuals alive in Sivas, Madimak Hotel in 1992. In 1978 hundreds of Alevis in K. Maras ; in the years of 90s' thousands of Kurdish patriots were murdered through annihilation and denying politics of the Turkish chauvinism.

Today, the ones who prepare the chauvinist aggression is not the "state in the state" as various political currencies are expressing, but the fascist state's itself through its policies and institutions. Thinking or commenting in other ways would mean to acquit the murderer state. For the one who gave the order to attack is the chief of general staff. The chief of general staff, Hilmi Ozkek, have placed Kurdish people to the target by qualifying them as "so-called citizens". Then the attacks and competition of hanging flags started.

Doubtlessly all these attacks were not a coincidence: The election of Celal Talabani (the president of PUK in South Kurdistan) as the President of Iraq, the Kurds high number of votes in the elections, the announcement of Kirkuk as a Kurdish city, the disappearance of Turkish state's red-lines over the Iraqi Kurdistan, all these developments have led Kurdish people inTurkey Kurdistan (as in Iranian and Syrian parts of the Kurdistan) to turn their faces to the South Kurdistan.

Again the announcement of "Confederation" (suggested by Abdullah Ocalan, and means "economical, social and cultural solidarity and integration without changing of the borders" between the four parts of Kurdistan) together with its flag in the 21 March Newroz celebrations, the decision of the European Human Rights Court on the re-trial of Abdullah Ocalan, the constriction of the Turkish government on the question of Cyprus and Armenia by "external" pressures and many other factors have led chauvinist hysteria to be ready.

In this process, the Turkish army created pressure on the government which carries Islamic motives, experiences contradictions with the USA and EU imperialists and got confused in management of the country The army restarted to take its influential positions which were reduced only to political sphere for certain period. This is the contradiction which is taking place now between the government and the army. In the face of these internal and "external" pressures, the AKP (Justice and Development Party) government have adopted the insistences that deepen the imperialist dependency. Firstly it agreed to use of Incirlik Airbase in accordance with the USA requests. Secondly it signed a new agreement with IMF that will last until the year of 2007.

The Turkish working class and people are tried to be estranged to and taken away from their real class interests by poisoning with these conditions. This is a great political and ideological illusion. Therefore MLCP leadership have made following statement "to the Turkish working class and to our Turkish people" against the poisoning:
