On the morning of March 4 the Belgian state raided Kurdish institutions and houses and arrested 5 Kurdish patriots. As a result of the operation during which Roj TV was also raided, 8 people were imprisoned, among them KONGRA-GEL president Remzi Kartal and Zubeyir Aydar, member of the chairmens' council. After that, an operation concerning PJAK followed in Germany, and another one was carried out in France again against Roj TV.
This attack wave realised together with the support of the US imperialists is the EU imperialists' part of the liquidating attack on the Kurdish people. The "initiative" of the AKP government on the Kurdish question meant nothing else than imprisoning more than 900 Kurdish politicians, punish Kurdish children with several years of prison, realise massacres and putting hand cuffs on the hands of certain mayors as if they're war hostages. The operation carried out in Belgium, however, is the "initiative" of the EU on the Kurdish question. It means to be the continuation of the liquidating politics developed with the immediate support of the USA.
Turkish colonial fascism and the imperialist forces continue with their annihilation and denial politics by strengthening the political annihilation approach through mass detentions, which can be considered as political genocides, and rejecting and denying the minimum political freedom demands of the Kurdish national liberation movement. The operations including Roj TV, that is an important post for the development of the Kurdish conscious, and the detention of the Kurdish politicians, who have the status as refugees in Europe, totally correspond to the policy of denying the Kurdish nation's existence and the annihilation of the Kurdish liberation movement.
The operations are also closely related with the dirty negotiations on Afghanistan between Tayyip Erdogan, the prime minister of the Turkish bourgeois state, and Gates, the US foreign minister, where it was approved to take over duties in the risk areas and market the Turkish and Kurdish young men's blood in return for the support to liquidate the Kurdish liberation movement. The operations in Belgium are at the same time a product of these dirty negotiations.
The Turkish bourgeois state and imperialist forces won't be successful in their politics of announcing the representatives of the Kurdish people as terrorists, imprisoning them, carrying out annihilating operations and liquidating the Kurdish liberation movement. The Kurdish people have shown many times with their determined struggle that they won't give up because of the oppression and tyranny. They will overcome this attack with their ambition for freedom and longing.
Our party MLCP declares its solidarity with the imprisoned Kurdish politicians, with the Kurdish people and Kurdish national freedom struggle. We call on all progressive, revolutionary and communist organisations to be in solidarity and organise solidarity actions with the Kurdish people against the liquidating attacks of the Belgian and other EU states, the US imperialists, reactionary region states and Turkish colonial fascism.
