SWITZERLAND: Solidarity with RevolutionE4rer Aufbau
In Switzerland, the bourgeoisie tries to oppress any kind of political activity going beyond the narrow frame of bourgeois democracy (read: dictatorship). Especially concerning actions on the streets they try to oppress everything what not stays within the legal limits.
The last example of state repression against left forces in the apparently most democratic country is the attack on a comrade from RevolutionE4rer Aufbau Switzerland.
On 7th June she will be taken to the court in Zurich. The public prosecutor demands a prison sentence of 12 month without probation. She is accused of having participated at 4 demonstrations, among them an antiwar demonstration in Basle and the Mayday demonstration of 2004 as well as of taking from the ground a mobile which fell out of the pocket of an undercover cop. It is remarkable that the charge unequivocally carries preventive character. Thus the charge of 84attempted civil disorder" is substantiated with the claim that 84she knew or at least accepted that acts of violence had been planned". That means you do not even have to contravene the bourgeois law in order to be put into prison. It is clear that this strategy of repression aims at separating the movement into 84good and bad", in other words in those who cooperate with the police and those who stick to the political opinion as well as intimidate all those fighting against capitalism and to eliminate the ones not surrendering to repression in spite of all attacks through long prison sentences.
In order to prevent such strategies of repressions to work out, we call upon all revolutionary and progressive forces to show solidarity with those affected by state repression and to participate in the trial because:
This attack is directed against one comrade, but they meant all of us!
Solidarity is a weapon!
The trial takes place on 7th June 2005, at 9 am, at Bezirksgericht Zurich, Badenerstr. 90. For further information: www.aufbau.org
